It's been a while since I last wrote a post so I thought I would let you know about our last job that we had today. It was a trailer !! Trailers have electrics for the lights but also this one had a pneumatic pump as it was a tilt bed trailer. The electrics on trailers suffer badly with corrosion and abuse as the lights often getting knocked or damaged.
This can result in blowing fuses on the car or even damaging the original wiring and could lead to the car failing its MOT due to the trailer socket electrics not working correctly.
The trailer that we had in had damaged lights so we were able to replace these as we keep in stock a various selection of trailer lights and electrical connectors whether they are the original 7 pin or the new 13 pin electrical connections to the car. The customer was pleased with the repair as he would not be stopped by the police again for not having the lights working correctly on his trailer.
Another job with a twist that makes every day different.

Beep Beep Beep!!
This afternoon I fitted a Pioneer radio to a customers Ford Focus due to his original radio failing and was no cost effective to repair the original. When the customer came back to pick the car up I demonstrated how the radio/cd/ipod all worked and he was very pleased with the installation.
Some ten minutes later he came back to say there was a "beep beep beep" sound coming from the new radio ,so I went to the customers car to have a listen.I could not hear any beeping sound in the car but did explain that my hearing wasn't perfect due to 30 years of working on car audio equipment .My colleague came and had a listen with the customer and suddenly their it was"beep beep beep",so I drove the car into our fully equipped workshop and then the beeping had gone!
I then thought that I was starting to hear and see things and called back the customer to sit in his car with me , the beep was back again !
Hmmm I thought, sir have you a phone on you? He fumbled in his pocket to retrieve his phone with a button stuck down, going beep beep beep !!!!!
