Porsche Wart !!

Many porche 911's have a chrono stopwatch built into the top of the dashboard so that you can record your lap times whilst driving on a race circuit.Other people refer to it as a wart/pod ,an ugly lump on the dashboard that is of no use in every day driving.

I was asked by a customer if I could modify his "wart/pod" to have a speed camera detector retro fitted instead of the stopwatch. The customer felt this would be of better use than the stopwatch and would not have the dashboard cluttered with the speed camera detector mounted on it.
I took the popular road angel detector apart and had a new mount cnc machined to install it in the original stopwatch mount. The power to the speed camera detector was hidden and hard wired so that it came on/off with the ignition. The customer was very happy with the look of the speed camera detector mounted in the "wart"and said he was going to send pictures to the porsche 911 magazine.

Another job with a twist that makes every day different.
